National Cervical Cancer Elimination Action Plan 2025-2030
Ministry of Health | Ministry of Health
Abstract
Cervical cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among women in Kenya, despite being largely preventable through HPV vaccination, screening, and timely treatment. While Kenya has made progress toward the WHO cervical cancer elimination targets, significant gaps persist in HPV vaccination, HPV-based screening, and treatment coverage, highlighting the need for accelerated action. The National Cervical Cancer Elimination Action Plan provides a coordinated roadmap to address these gaps through 21 operational objectives across HPV vaccination, screening and precancer treatment, and diagnosis and treatment, guiding Kenya toward achieving the 2030 elimination targets.
